Antagonist Profile and Concept
Name: OXO (The X represents a concealed mouth)
Age: Deceased.
Gender: Unknown (but female based).
Height: 4”9 (No feet as she is floating).
Weight: Unknown.
Detail of interest: She will have bloodshot eyes but in a paranormal way to add extra fear and show an idea of death.
Clothing: A dress that represents her as a character, ideally being a schoolgirl outfit that shows she is a younger child and can lead to assumptions that she is the daughter of the protagonist. There will be no shoes needed as she will be a floating ghostly spirit.
Interests: The presence of her father being in his own alternate world is her interest, wanting revenge on him is what she wants.
Strengths: She possesses no strength but her own presence, she uses it to intimidate and haunt the main protagonist as her presence will remain in the map/environment. Her ghostly presence will have the capability to damage the protagonist’s health.
Weaknesses: Due to being a ghostly spirit, she has no weakness as she cannot be touched or have any engagement with James (the main protagonist) but can only be seen by him.
Mental State: Her mental state is unidentifiable; she will not show any signs of her mental state but can be assumed by the player.
Her objective: As a ghostly spirit, she only has one purpose which is to haunt the main protagonist, she is there as a reminder to James that he is a bad person and is the cause for her to be in her current state in a world that he has brought himself into.
Similar to the protagonist, drawn by hand initially to get a starting idea of how she will look within the game. The character is drawn to have a ghostly presence as she does not have any legs for the reason that she will float. Her clothing will resemble a school uniform to help give an idea of what age she would be as the uniform will represent a young girl. More rough sketches have been produced as seen with the different types of faces to develop a basic idea of how the antagonist will look within the game while also considering the outfit that fits in together with her profile and game plot.
The antagonist is drawn again in a digital format to show a clearer version of her. The hair is designed to be torn and messy to add in extra fear into her design while fitting with the style of anime. The skirt of the character will be torn too to reduce the formality of the school uniform as well as the overall outfit may have blood on it to link with the idea of death. This drawing was attempted using the Krita art software which opened me to more variety in drawing tools, to which I have attempted to draw the character as best as I could using the software with little knowledge of it. The portrayal of the character is present however as there is now an idea of how I want my antagonist to look within the game and as similar to the protagonist, colour has not been given due to being a varied factor influenced by gameplay of shadows and fog.
